Gustavo Aray
Gustavo founded RZV (Rui Zhi Ventures Limited) in 2011 to help patent owners and investment funds monetize and/or acquire high-quality patent portfolios. Well-known in the industry, Gustavo has closed dozens of buy-side, sell-side and financing transactions for clients. He has been repeatedly recognized in leading IP publications as one of the world's leading patent brokers.
Prior to founding RZV, Gustavo worked at Intel Capital where he co-founded and managed Intel Corporation's patent acquisition group as well as Intel Capital's portfolio company patent licensing program. As a member of Intel Capital's investment team, Gustavo also directed investments in various technology companies in the US and China and managed several dozen portfolio companies in Intel Capital's post-investment management group.
Previously, Gustavo worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PwC) before earning his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Gustavo has studied Mandarin Chinese at the Taipei Language Institute in Taipei. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio.
